A Wari (Huari) Garment Panel Peru, c. 600-1000 AD Camelid fibers with red, white, black, tan, and shades of green and blue. Four strips alternating two rows each of six condors and six jaguars depicted in profile in rectangles. The colors placed seemingly arbitrarily on the creatures, giving each one a distinct color combination and personality. In very good condition, appropriate for age, origin, and mediums; are of separation of the fibers and loss in the second row down of jaguars. The colors still vibrant. Framed and glazed.
